"What is it?" asked Cindy.
"Jake's uncle is lending Jake his cabin this Friday night, and Jake was planning to have some of his old friends from high school go up there for a sleepover, and we're invited. You can come too, Lynn."
"Sounds like fun," said Cindy.
"I don't know about this," I said. I was a little leery about what the outing might entail considering the conversation we had just been having.
"Oh, it's not all about sex, Lynn," Amy said laughing. "It's a tiny cabin, and everyone will be sleeping in sleeping bags in the living room, so there's no danger of anything happening."
"You should come with us, Lynn," said Cindy. "I'll bet Jake's friends are cool, and it will make a welcome change for you from swapping secrets with Janie and Trisha and those guys."
This was one of those situations where it was pretty clear that the right answer as in "choose the right" would be to say no. But in fact it did sound like fun and a welcome change. "Oh, all right," I said, hoping I wouldn't regret it.
