Brigham Young University
After less than one scene, my mind began to irresistibly wander to the image of Rex stretching and of our entire morning scene. I looked out the window of the study room. The room had a window with an interior view overlooking the large, high-ceilinged lobby. The lobby had rows of couches full of students variously chatting or engaging in public displays of affection. As usual there was someone playing the piano surrounded by fresh-faced students singing with him. Then I noticed Andrew looking up at me and waving. As soon as he saw that I saw him, he began pointing at his watch and making some sort of incomprehensible gesture that I took to mean that I should go get April.
"April, Andrew is downstairs signaling to us," I said.
"Oh, yeah, lunch," she said. "I lost track of the time. Do you want to come with us?"
"Sure," I said, and we went downstairs.
April greeted Andrew with a peck of a kiss on the cheek, and we all set off.
As we all walked together, I couldn't help but notice the contrast between this couple and those that were shamelessly making out in the lobby, or worse Amy and Jake, spending the night together like that. It's true that temptation can be fierce and difficult to overcome, but it was inspiring to see some young lovers who had the force of will necessary in order not to jeopardize their future temple wedding nor his mission plans. In fact they had the breezy, laid-back attitude of an old married couple already, not even bothering to hold hands as they walked along.
Since Andrew wasn't living in the dorms, we wouldn't be having lunch in the cafeteria, but since we were passing that way, April and I stopped in to get our mail.
