EXMORMON
I put down my painting and started going down the stairs. Lynn followed, still wearing her bathrobe and holding a dress that was the same as mine only in green.
"Lynn, you're not dressed!" exclaimed Mom. "We're on our way out the door!"
"Mom, I can't wear this dress, it's horrible!" said Lynn, throwing the dress down on the living room couch. "It's the ugliest dress on the planet! I'll look like hell!"
"Lynn Hanson!" said Dad, shocked. "This behavior is totally unacceptable. You march back upstairs this minute and put that dress on."
So Lynn grabbed the dress and stormed back upstairs. We all waited in the foyer except Dad who went out to the garage to unplug the heater in the engine of the car and to start the car running. In a few minutes Lynn was back downstairs wearing the dress and a huge scowl.
The seat was cold as the three of us girls took our place, with Annette in the middle and me and Lynn on either side. Once everyone was settled and belted in, we set off.
"Great!" said Lynn, still in a foul mood, "You have on my barrettes too! Is there anything of mine you didn't take?"
"Shut up!" replied Annette.
I turned to Lynn and said "Don't make trouble. It's already your fault we're going to be late."
"It's not my fault, it's Annette's for taking my good dress!" With that she gave Annette a shove.
